Leonard Joseph Curry

In 1930, Lenard (25) and Thelma (24) Curry rented a home for $12 a month on Clay Pike in Wayne Twp., Muskingum County, Ohio. Leonard was employed as a nealer in a steel mill. Like most of their neighbors, the Currys owned a radio set.

Leonard J. Curry was a widower at the time of his death.

PARTY HONORS MRS. CURRY
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Curry of Pleasant Grove road entertained Sunday
with a picnic dinner honoring Mr. Curry’s mother, Mrs. Leonard Curry of
Boggs road. The honored guest received many gifts.
Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Deffenbaugh and Elizabeth,
Charles, Lawrence and Johnny of Fresno; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Monlux and
Donna; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard West and Bobby, Ricky, Shirley and Carol; Mr.
and Mrs. Ronald Clark and Sandy and Vicki.
Others were Mr. and Mrs. Don Scott and Pamela; Mrs. Dale German and
Jeffrey; Miss Pat Schmid; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Curry and son Jimmy; Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Monlux; Jack Bracken; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Curry, Ada, Ruth,
Nancy, and Mike; Mr. and Mrs. James Dodson.


Charles E. Wells

Obituary:
Charles E. Wells, 83, of 1432 Wheeling avenue died at 10 a.m. Monday
(Sept. 12) at his home after a long illness. Mr. Wells was born in Noble
County Nov 25, 1882, a son of John and Edella Harris Wells. Mr. Wells
was a retired pottery worker, having worked 18 years at Roseville Pottery
and 14 years at old Weller Pottery. Mr. Wells was a member of Evangelical
United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Frances Curry Wells who he married Sept.
21, 1963; a sister Mrs. Clara B. Addis of McConnelsville; three nephews,
Chester Addis of Pataskala, John Addis of Newark, and Carl Addis of Malta.
He first married the former Ida Swope Allen Dec. 22, 1922. She died Jan. 14,
1960.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arthur Bryan Funeral Home
with Rev. R. B. Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.

The estate of Charles E. Wells of 1432 Wheeling avenue who died last Sept.
12 has been appraised at $11,447. Mr. Wells' widow, Frances M. Wells, is
executor of the estate.


Donald L. Scott

From The Zanesville Times Recorder, 28 Feb 1962
The son born Feb. 19 to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Scott of Route 6 has
been named Steven Lee. The Scotts have two daughters, Pamela, 6, and
Sharon, 4. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Welcome Scott of New Concord
Route 2 and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Curry of Route 8.


Robert Ferdinand Curry

On 18 Mar 1943, the Zanesville Signal reported that Robert F. Curry of South Zanesville Route 2 was inducted into the Army in Columbus.


Catherine Kelley

Wedding announcement:
KELLEY - CURRY WEDDING HELD IN SPRINGFIELD
Miss Catherine Kelley , daughter of Mrs. Patrick Kelley, of Springfield,
and Robert Curry, son of Ferdinand Curry of the Maysville Pike, were
married June 7 at St. Raphael’s Catholic church in Springfield.
Earl Smith, of South street, uncle of the groom, was best man, while
Martha Kelley, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. A wedding break-
fast and a reception were held following the wedding.
