Joseph Andrew Crum

As of 1997, Joe was an engineer working at Columbus Depot. He and his wife own five acres ten miles north of Broad St. and Waggoner Rd. in New Albany, Ohio. They have two sons.


Lester J. Schwallie

Anniversary announcement:

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schwallie of North Canton are celebrating their 50th anniversary today with a reception at 1:30 p.m. at the North Canton Civic Center, 845 W. Maple St. The reception is given by their children and their spouses, Lester and Beth Schwallie and Lucinda and Dean McDonald, and their grandchildren. The former Lucille Slagle and her husband were married May 6, 1950, in St. Anthony's Church in Canton by the Rev. McLaughlin. They attend St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Schwallie is retired from the Hoover Co. He is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and AARP North Canton Chapter 2894. Mrs. Schwallie is a retired teacher from St. Paul's Catholic School in North Canton. She is a member of the Ohio State Teachers Retirement group and
AARP North Canton Chapter 2894.

Lester J. Schwallie, 80, of North Canton, died Saturday, November 10,
2007 in The Laurels of Massillon. The son of the late Frank and Rose
(Wahl) Schwallie, he was born in North Canton, April 26, 1927.
A member of St Paul’s Catholic Church, he was retired from the
Hoover Company with 44 years of service. He also belonged to the
North Canton Eagles #2228 and AARP. After retirement he was always
on the go and loved to travel with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille ( Slagle); son and
daughter in law Lester and Margie of Canton; daughter Luci McDonald
of North Canton; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Kelly McDonald,
Brandon McDonald and Lauren and Gabe Schwallie. Also surviving are
a sister and brother in law, Ann and John Theiss of Canton; brother
Francis of Canton ; brother in law Robert Slagle and his wife Brenda of
South Carolina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov-
ember 14, 2007 in St Paul’s Catholic Church, 241 South Main Street, with
The Rev Fr David Menegay as celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial
Park. Friends are received at Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home, 5000 Everhard
Road, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St Paul’s
Building Fund at the above address.
