Leo O. Nauer

Obituary:
KIRKERSVILLE - A funeral service for Leo O. Nauer, 70,
of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20,
2005, at the Kirkersville Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta
Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Tom Myers
officiating.
Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mr. Nauer died Sept. 16, 2005, at his residence. He was
born June 14, 1935, in Lewisville to the late Frank J. and
Blanche I. Crum Nauer.
Mr. Nauer was a retired laborer for Kokosing Co. in Fred-
ericktown. He also worked for Campbells Elevator in Hebron,
Ours Garage in Hebron and WJ Camlins in Newark. He was
a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles 2801.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen D. Bowers
Nauer; seven sons, Kenny (Marjorie) Nauer, James (Brenda)
Nauer, Tim Nauer, Richard (Beth) Nauer, all of Hebron, Scott
(Holli) Nauer of Newark, Dwayne Nauer and Ty (Shelley)
Nauer, both of Hebron; a daughter, Christina (Dan) Wright of
Hebron; a stepson, Danny Barrs of Hebron; nine grandchildren
and one great-grandchild; a brother, Joseph (Eileen) Nauer of
Canton; and two sisters, Lucille (Richard) Michael of Canton
and Gertrude (Richard) Nau of Caldwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a
brother, Herman Nauer.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, at
the funeral home, 285 East Main St., Kirkersville.

Edmund S. Weisend

Obituary (from Betty Hartley):
Edmund L. Weisend, a real estate broker who resided at 314 Clarendon
Avenue, N. W., Canton, died Saturday night, May 8th, 1954, after an illness
of seven weeks. He was 60 years old. A native of Woodsfield, he was a son
of the late Anthony and Pauline Spangler Weisend. He went to Canton 40
years ago. Mr. Weisend was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in
Canton.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen Nauer Weisend, and a sister, Mrs.
Ida Neale, of Pasadena, California. Rt. Rev. Msgr. George N. Habig sang a
Requiem High Mass Wednesday morning, May 12th, at 9:30 o’clock in St.
Peter’s Church at Canton. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Canton.

Charles David Burkhard

Birth announcement from the Zanesville Times Recorder:
Mr. and Mrs. Carl P. Burkhard, Escondida, Calif., a son, Charles David, Wednesday [12 Jul 1950]. Mrs. Burkhard is the former Jean Eloise Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Smith of 2204 Maple avenue [Zanesville]. She is a graduate of the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.
