Dorothy L. Weinman

Obituary:

Dorothy L. Bishop, age 69, of Louisville, passed away Wed-
nesday, July 28, 2004 in Aultman Hospital following a recent
illness. Dorothy was born June 10, 1935 in Dover to the Wilson
and Irene (Lab) Weinman. She was a graduate of Strasburg
High School Class of 1953. She graduated from the Timken
Mercy School of Nursing in 1956 and spent the next 30 years
as a nurse at Timken Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed swimming,
crocheting, playing cards and traveling. She was a member of
the YMCA, Nurses of ‘56 and President of Falls Spring Lake.
Dorothy was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 44 years, James “Tiny”
Bishop; four daughters and sons-in-law, Anne and Dave Randall
of Virginia, Amy and James Wharmby of Louisville, Karen and
Michael Seidel of Virginia and Monica and Kevin Moses of Colum-
bus; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Julie Bishop of Texas;
two sisters, Doris Bartlett of Michigan and MaryAnn Nestleroad of
Zanesville; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in
St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Interment
will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. Memorial
contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to the American Cancer
Society.
