Obituary:
Mildred Martha Gill, age 80, passed away at her home in North Canton on May1, 2003, following an extended illness. She was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Caldwell, OH, the daughter of the late Rome and Anna Idona (Archer) Dimmerling. She was a member of the Mother of Twins Club and was the recipient of their Mother of the Year Award. She was a former employee of Green Thumb Nursery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Gill; her sons,
Raymond and Donald Gill, and her sister, Luella Gill. She is survived by her
children, Patricia (Michael) Urbas of Odessa, FL, Robert (Diana) Gill of North
Canton, Jean (William) Raftery of Canton, Daniel (Judy) Gill of Canton, Janice
(Jim) Harwood of Ledyard, CT, Joseph (Patricia) Gill of Uniontown, Gary
(Shawn) Gill of Canton, Ronald (Gina) Gill of Allen, TX, Brian (Mary) Gill of
North Canton and Bruce (Laurie) Gill of Alliance; 30 grandchildren; two great
-grandchildren; three brothers, Chester, Roy and Roger Dimmerling, all of the
Canton area.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Peace
Catholic Church with Fr. John R. Nentwick as celebrant. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church or to ALS, 6677 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720.
