Anthony W. Kullman, age 78 of Canton, passed away Mondaymorning in Massillon Community Hospital after an extended illness. He wasborn in Bolivar, OH and had lived in this area most of his life. He was amember of St. Anthony Catholic Church; volunteered for Meals on Wheels, anavid gardener; and former member of the K of C Canton Council #341 where hewas past Grand Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin andMary Kullman; an infant daughter, Josephine Kullman; four brothers, Francis,William, Joseph and Dick Kullman; five sisters, Florence Larkins, GenevieveJohnson, Elizabeth Kullman, Marie LeGlise and Leona Kullman. He is survivedby his wife, Josephine (Volpe) Kullman, with whom they would have celebratedtheir 51st wedding anniversary, September 29, 2002; four sons anddaughters-in-law, Joseph and Diana Kullman of Phoenix, AZ., James (Jim) andCynthia Kullman of North Canton, Jeff and Dana Kullman of East Canton, JasonKullman of Canton; three daughters and son-in-law, Janet Kullman of Canton,Joyce Willis of Phoenix, AZ and Jannie and Tim Ortiz of Massillon; eightgrandchildren, Micah, Teah, Mikayla, Anna Kullman, Logan and Luke Fetter.Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony CatholicChurch with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bishop as celebrant. Interment will be inCalvary Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. in the RossiFuneral Home. There will be a military graveside service. In lieu of flowersmemorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1530 11th St SE,Canton, OH 44707.

Lewis A. Miller Sr., 72, of Jaycee Estates, Marietta, died at 5:35 p.m.Sunday (Aug. 8, 2004) at the Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 10, 1932, in Stanleyville, Ohio, a son of the late George A.and Wava Zimmer Miller. He attended Stanleyville Grade School and MariettaHigh School and had spent most of his life in the Marietta area. He was amember of St. Paul's Evangelical Church and enjoyed being with people. Hehad done janitorial work and had also been employed in the Marietta CitySchools system. On May 23, 1953, he married Jeannine Stark, who preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Lewis Adam Miller Jr. and his wife, Tonja, ofLower Salem; two daughters, Myra Harris and her husband, James "Greg," ofLowell, and Nyra Miller of Marietta; and several grandchildren andstepgrandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Beman Miller andhis wife, Merna, of Devola, Dale Miller and his wife, Jocelyn, ofBellingham, Wash., and Paul Miller of Little Hocking; one sister, Irma Pooleand her husband, Charles "Mike," of Lowell; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by oneson, James Miller; and one sister, Virginia Smithberger. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at McClure-Schafer-LankfordFuneral Home with Pastor Steven Dennis officiating. Interment will be inHighland Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesdaymorning until the hour of the service. The family will be present to meetfriends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
