Anthony W. Kullman

Obituary:

Anthony W. Kullman, age 78 of Canton, passed away Monday morning in Massillon Community Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Bolivar, OH and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church; volunteered for Meals on Wheels, an avid gardener; and former member of the K of C Canton Council #341 where he was past Grand Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary Kullman; an infant daughter, Josephine Kullman; four brothers, Francis, William, Joseph and Dick Kullman; five sisters, Florence Larkins, Genevieve Johnson, Elizabeth Kullman, Marie LeGlise and Leona Kullman. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Volpe) Kullman, with whom they would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary, September 29, 2002; four sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Diana Kullman of Phoenix, AZ., James (Jim) and Cynthia Kullman of North Canton, Jeff and Dana Kullman of East Canton, Jason Kullman of Canton; three daughters and son-in-law, Janet Kullman of Canton, Joyce Willis of Phoenix, AZ and Jannie and Tim Ortiz of Massillon; eight grandchildren, Micah, Teah, Mikayla, Anna Kullman, Logan and Luke Fetter. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Bishop as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. in the Rossi Funeral Home. There will be a military graveside service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1530 11th St SE, Canton, OH 44707.

Lewis A. Miller

Obituary:

Lewis A. Miller Sr., 72, of Jaycee Estates, Marietta, died at 5:35 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 8, 2004) at the Marietta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 10, 1932, in Stanleyville, Ohio, a son of the late George A. and Wava Zimmer Miller. He attended Stanleyville Grade School and Marietta High School and had spent most of his life in the Marietta area. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church and enjoyed being with people. He had done janitorial work and had also been employed in the Marietta City Schools system. On May 23, 1953, he married Jeannine Stark, who preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Lewis Adam Miller Jr. and his wife, Tonja, of Lower Salem; two daughters, Myra Harris and her husband, James "Greg," of Lowell, and Nyra Miller of Marietta; and several grandchildren and stepgrandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Beman Miller and his wife, Merna, of Devola, Dale Miller and his wife, Jocelyn, of Bellingham, Wash., and Paul Miller of Little Hocking; one sister, Irma Poole and her husband, Charles "Mike," of Lowell; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Miller; and one sister, Virginia Smithberger. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Dennis officiating. Interment will be in Highland Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Wednesday morning until the hour of the service. The family will be present to meet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
