James Wilson Bishop

BAGGETT - BISHOP
A blue and white flower arrangement decorated the altar of St. Louis Catholic Church for the October 6 five-thirty o’clock wedding of Julie Lynn Baggett and James Wilson Bishop. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Baggett of Hamilton and Mr. and Mrs. James Bishop of Louisville.
Father Lawrence Fye officiated for the ceremony. Gail Hershberger provided nuptial music.
The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a dotted swiss gown featuring a high neckline and Edwardian sleeves. The skirt flowed into layers of ruffles and formed a cathedral length train. The hat had a pearl design. She carried a dozen red roses with silk lily of the valley. Her jewelry consisted of golden leaf earrings and a pearl necklace.
Theresa List of Cincinnati served as maid of honor. Her turquoise blue gown featured short puffy sleeves and a V-pleated neckline. A ring of blue and white silk flowers with ribbons was worn in her hair. She carried silk blue roses and white gardenias arranged on a fan.
Bridesmaids were Gail Whitt of Hamilton, Anne and Amy Bishop, both of Louisville, and sisters of the groom. Each girl’s gown, headpiece and flowers were styled the same as the honor attendant.
Mr. Brett Shoemaker of Louisville served as the best man. Ushers were Elbert Baggett, brother of the bride, of Hamilton, Todd Haidet of Cincinnati and Bob King of Louisville.
The bride’s mother wore a street length pale blue dress and had a single orchid corsage.
The groom’s mother wore a street length rose and offwhite dress and had a single orchid corsage. The rehearsal dinner was held at the groom’s home and the reception at the Arion Club.
Mrs. Bishop is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Dietetics and a Masters of Science Education from Vanderbilt University.
Mr. Bishop has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering graduating from the University of Cincinnati and is employed as an engineer for IBM.
After spending one week in the Poconos in Pennsylvania, the couple is residing in Vestal, New York.


Kirk L. Dimmerling

Obituary:

Kirk L. Dimmerling, age 26, of East Canton, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001. He was a life resident of the East Canton area and was a 1993 graduate of Louisville High School. He was also formerly active in 4-H. He is survived by his parents, Richie C. and Linda K. (Stefanick) Dimmerling I of East Canton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rick and Audrey Dimmerling, Richie C. Dimmerling II all of East Canton; one sister, Linda Dimmerling II of East Canton; one niece, Julia Dimmerling; one nephew, Robert Dimmerling; paternal grandparents, Roy and Monica (Foltz) Dimmerling of East Canton; maternal grandparents, Joe and Janet (Mathews) Stefanick of East Canton; also many aunts; uncles; and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the St. Benedict Catholic Church with Fr. John Zuzik as celebrant. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 5-8 p.m. in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.


Linda Dimmerling

Janet Adrienne Matthews

Obituary:
Janet Adrienne Stefanick, age 66 of East Canton, passed away Monday May 7, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center following a six month illness. Janet was born May 24, 1934 in Canton and was the daughter of the late Lloyd I. and Reba Virginia (Kibler) Mathews. Janet and her husband, Joseph, were self-employed dairy farmers in East Canton. She was a member of the Centerville Women's Club and a former member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Janet leaves behind her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph A. Stefanick whom she married August 21, 1954; four daughters, Susan Burgess (George) of East Canton, Diane Schrader (Llod) of Minerva, Judy Stefanick (Silas Slaughter) of East Canton and Linda Dimmerling (Rich) of East Canton; a son, Anthony Stefanick of East Canton; two sisters, Jesse Spangler (Bob) of Waynesboro, PA., and Carol Rice (Bob) of Bellvue, NE; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Mathews Jr. and William Mathews; and a grandson, Kirk Dimmerling. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church in Canton with Fr. John Zuzic officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Paquelet - Falk Funeral home of Louisville.
