Mark and Trishia were both adopted by Francis and Evelyn Burkhart. Frank was a Judge in Guernsey County, Ohio.

Burkhart--Utsinger
Wedding will be on Thursday, January 7

Utsinger, Miss Evelyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Utsinger ofWoodsfield, and Francis Burkhart, son of Mrs. Susan Burkhart, ofZ anesville, will be united in marriage Thursday morning, January 7, at 10:30 o'clock in The St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Woodsfield. The pastor, Rev. J. G. Mehler, will officiate and there will be a NuptialHigh Mass.
Miss Ruth Ann Utsinger, of Woodsfield, sister of the bride and Willard Davis, of Zanesville, will be the attendants.
The bride's parents will entertain with a breakfast following the marriage and later Thursday, the young people will leave for a brief trip. Upon their return, they will be at home at 1023 Market Street, Zanesville.
Mr. Burkhart, who is an employee of The American Rolling Mill company plant, enlisted in The Air Corps Reserves in September and is now awaiting call.

Obituary: Francis H. Burkhart, 81
ZANESVILLE -- Francis H. Burkhart, 81, of Zanesville, died at 4:24 p.m -Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Genesis Bethesda emergency room.

Born Jan. 22, 1921, in Verona, Pa., he attended St. Nicholas CatholicChurch and retired in 1991, having served 10 years as the MuskingumCounty Probate and Juvenile Judge. He practiced law in Zanesville for 27 years, served as city solicitor and assistant prosecutor. He was agraduate of Ohio University and Franklin Law School, He was a member ofthe Muskingum County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, and former member of the Sertoma Club. He was a retired major from the Air National Guard at Lockbourn Air Force Base, retiring in 1963, and served in the Army Air Corps, a veteran of World War II,

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Utsinger Burkhart, of the home, whom he married Jan, 7. 1943: a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Charles Burkhart Snyder of St. Mary's, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark F.and Rita Burkhart of Zanesville; grandchildren. Andrea Snyder and Aimee (Chris) Snyder Wiggs, Amanda Burkhart and Jason (Amy) Burkhart: a great-grandson, Jacob Burkhart, a sister, Catherine Baum of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank F and Susan O'Brien Burkhart.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hillis FuneralHome, 935 Forest Ave. with Christian Vigil services at 3:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father James C. Csaszar as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.


Evelyn Irene Utsinger

Obituary:
ZANESVILLE - Evelyn Irene (Utsinger) Burkhart, 85, of Zanesville, died at 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Adams Lane Care Center in Zanesville following a battle with cancer.
She was born on Sunday, March 28, 1920, in Woodsfield, Ohio, the daughter of John F. and Evelyn M. (Witschy) Utsinger. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and a Registered Nurse, having been employed with Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Alumni Association and a past member of the Women’s Guild.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Charles Burkhard Snyder of St. Mary’s, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark F. and Rita Burkhart of Zanesville, grandchildren Andrea Snyder and Aimee (Chris) Snyder Wiggs, Amanda (Brice Britton and Jason (Amy) Burkhart; great grandchildren Jacob Burkhart and Autumn Burkhart; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Judge Francis H. Burkhart, who died on Nov. 10, 2002; and one sister, Ruth Ann Gaab. Friends may call Tuesday Jan 24 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with Christian vigil being recited at 2 p.m. at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic church on Wednesday, Jan 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Robert Kitsmiller as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in Zanesville.

Obituary:
ZANESVILLE -- Catherine P. Burkhart Baum, 97, of Zanesville, died at 8:22p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Willow Haven Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Sunday, March 17, 1907, in La Junta, Colo., the daughter of Francis F. and Susan O'Brien Burkhart. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and retired following 60 years in the nursing profession. She was a graduate of the Good Samaritan School of Nursing,class of 1930, and was employed as a registered nurse at Good SamaritanHospital, Muskingum College, and Rambo Health Clinic. She was a chartermember of the Good Samaritan Charity Circle and a member of the GoodSamaritan Nurses Alumni Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Sue (Tom) Slater of Adamsville; a son,Richard F. "Dick" (Patricia) Baum of Zanesville; five grandchildren,Chris Baum of Zanesville, Mike (Suzi) Slater of Zanesville, Andy(Michelle) Slater of Altus, Okla., Susie Slater of Findley, and MollieSlater of Columbus; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Burkhart of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Christopher A. Baum, who died Feb. 27, 1986; and a granddaughter, KatieSlater.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Hillis& Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug.13, 2004, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Father JordanLenaghan as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
