Buddy Joe Ritterbeck

CAR OVERTURNS; DRIVER IS CITED
Buddy Joe Ritterbeck, 18, of Caldwell Route 1 was cited
and a companion injured when their speeding auto went
out of control and overturned on the Chandlersville road 11
miles east of Zanesville early Monday.
The Ohio Highway Patrol said the auto driven by Ritterbeck
was traveling at an excessive rate of speed and failed to nego-
tiate a curve. The auto went out of control and overturned
when the left rear tire blew out.
Ronald Lahue, 19, also of Caldwell Route 1, suffered
lacerations of the arm and head and was treated and dis-
missed at Good Samaritan hospital.

ZANESVILLE - Buddy Joe Ritterbeck Sr., 65, of Zanesville,
died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at his residence following a long
illness.
He was born Sunday, Aug. 31, 1941, in Summerfield, the
son of the late Roy Henry and Edna Marie Carpenter Ritterbeck.
Buddy retired in 2002 from the Vestre Excavating Company
following 32 years of service and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Buddy is survived by one son, Buddy Joe Ritterbeck Jr.; four
sisters: Imogene Brown of Zanesville, Donna Bates of Summer-
field, Irene (George) Smithbenger of Sumerfield and Eileen Reed
of Bysville; and his caregiver, Patty Tate.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one
sister, Judy Barnett; and two brothers, Regis Roy Ritterbeck
and Roger Ritterbeck.
No calling hours or services will be observed and a caring
cremation will take place. Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home is in
charge of the arrangments.


Burton Cushing Colwill

Burton Colwill worked as an accountant.


Mac Tharp

Mac and Elsie ran a mom and pop store for many years. They had no children.


Ed Edmunds

Ed was an engineer. He ran a bridge in the Cleveland flats. He and Elsie had no children.


Dwight Hostetter

Dwight was an executive with Society Bank in Cleveland.
