marriage of his daughter Rosemary Patricia Ruple to
Bruce Urlin Benedict, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Bene-
dict of Johnstown. Miss Ruple is the daughter of the
late Mrs. Marguerite Ruple.
The bride elect was graduated from St. Francis de
Sales High School with the class of 1952. and is
associated with the office of Dr. W. C. Myers. Mr.
Benedict was graduated with the class of 1951 from
Johnstown-Monroe High School. He attended Ohio
Wesleyan University and is a student in the college
of engineering at Ohio State University.
The wedding will be an event of June 18.


Charles James Ruple

The "Looking Backward" column of the Newark [OH] Advocate on 24 Mar 1971reported events from 15 years prior (24 Mar 1956):
Charles Ruple, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ruple,
84 N. 25th St., is recovering satisfactorily from injuries
suffered in a fall at the St. Francis de Sales gymnasium.
An eighth grade student, he was X-rayed at Newark
Hospital.


Judith Kay Markham

The wedding announcement of Charles J. Ruple and Judith Markham was published in the Newark [OH] Advocate on 20 Jul 1965:

Kay Markham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl R. Markham,

Parents of the bride-elect are announcing the engage-

Miss Markham, graduated from Newark High School
and is office manager of the Cooperative Extension
Service.

Mary Lynn Stoll

The wedding announcement of Mary Lynn Stoll and Edwin Sims was published in the Newark [OH] Advocate on 20 Jul 1972:
Announcement is being made of the marriage of Miss Mary Lynn Stoll and Sgt. Edwin D. Sims, by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stoll, 218 Woods Ave., and Dale Sims, 96 Gregory Dr., and Mrs. Bernard Lees, 186 N. 11 St.
Double ring nuptials were exchanged 2:30 p.m. June 24 in St. Francis de Sales Church, with Father Richard Metzger officiating
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length gown of nylon organza over satin accented by an empire waistline. A jeweled crown of seed pearls held her chapel-length veil of bridal illusion and she carried a cloud of baby’s breath, white roses and pale blue delphinium.
James Washburn, Timothy Bell, Maureen Bell, Mrs. David Jones and Miss Holly Shonebarger provided music; and Master Charles Ruple and Brenda Ruple served as ring bearer and flower girl, respectively.
The maid of honor, Miss Lannie Stoll, sister of the bride, and the bridesmaids, Misses Veronica Stoll, another sister of the bride, Patricia Duffy, and Mrs. Jesse Molden wore floor-length empire gowns of white nylon dotted Swiss accented by a blue velvet ribbon trim. They wore matching ribbons in their hair and carried French tussymussys of white miniature carnations, forget-me-motes and blue cornflowers.
The bridegroom chose Ronald Sandman as best man, Barry and Leslie Stoll, brothers of the bride, and Roy Sims, his brother, as ushers.
A reception followed en Buckingham House for 150 guests with Misses Joy Restorick, Joan Torncho, and Mrs. Bruce Stewart as hostesses. Mrs. James Jeffries attended the guest book.
The bride is a 1969 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and a 1972 graduate of Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Zanesville.
The bridegroom, also a 1969 Newark Catholic graduate, is serving in the Army stationed at Ft. Carson, Colo.
Following a wedding trip they are living in Colorado Springs.


Veronica Marie Stoll

Mr. Snow is a 1972 graduate of Newark High School and is attending Ohio State University.
