DIVORCE ACTIONS
Patricia Lorraine Cozzens, 283 Pomerene Rd., vs. Dwain
Eugene Cozzens, 283 Pmerene Rd., on grounds of neglect
and cruelty. Plaintiff asks custody of three children. Married
Oct. 3, 1964, Mansfield.

The same paper reported on 27 Jul 1973 that the divorce action was dismissed.

Dwain Cozzens’ obituary was published in the Mansfield, Ohio News Journal on 6 Feb 1975
Dwain Eugene Cozzens, 33, of 23401 Dixie Highway, West
Point, Ky, was dead on arrival at the Ireland Army Hospital, Ft.
Knox, Ky., Tuesday [4 Feb 1975] following an auto accident.
He was born March 31, 1941 in Caldwell, O., and lived in
Mansfield most of his life. Mr. Cozzens was a veteran of the
Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Lorraine Branham Cozzens,
two sons, Joseph at home and Kenneth Eugene of Bellflower,
Calif.; two daughters, Gwendolen Katrina and Cheryl Lynn, both
at home; three sisters, Mrs. Junior (Mildred) Dimmerling of
Caldwell, Mrs. Gilbert (Shirley) Goodwill of Mifflin, and Mrs.
Edwin (Carolyn) Clark of Mansfield.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Wappner
Funeral Home in Mansfield.by the Rev. Terry Zerby, assistant
pastor of the Community Bible Church. Burial will be in Mans-
field Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday afternoon and
evening.

Joseph W. Cozzens

The following article appeared in the Mansfield Ohio News Journal on 27 Aug 1971
Joseph Cozzens, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Cozzens,
283 Pomerene Rd., was examined at General Hospital and
released after running into an auto fender on Pomerene Rd.
Police said the car driver, Georgia Ann Adams, 17, of 1124
Pawnee Ave., pulled around an ice cream truck and the child
ran into the car fender.


Gilbert Warren Goodwill

Gilbert Goodwill's obituary was published in the Mansfield (Ohio) News Journal on 15 Dec 2003:
MANSFIELD -- Gilbert "Gib" Warren Goodwill, 80, of rural
Ashland died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at MedCentral/Mansfield
Hospital.
Born July 14, 1923, in Elba, Ohio, he was the son of Minus
Mitten and Gracie Ina Smith Goodwill.
Mr. Goodwill had been employed at AJ Weigand Trucking
and McKinley Roofing. He was a member of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars, American Association of Retired Persons and
Teamsters Union Local No. 40.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War
II, serving in Germany. He also served in the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Jean Cozzens Goodwill, to
whom he was married March 20, 1954. Also surviving are his
children and their spouses, Janet and Toby Britton and Donald
and Vickie Goodwill, all of Mansfield, and Gilbert E. Goodwill,
Ronald and Robin Goodwill and Richard Goodwill, all of Ashland;
12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters,
Blanche Frabotto of Geneva and Pauline Gerome and Evelyn
Shafer, both of Sarahsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul
Kirkbride.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at Roberts
Funeral Home, Ashland Chapel, 1058 US 250 North, Ashland, with
the Rev. Rob Douglass officiating. Burial will be in Ashland County
Memorial Park. Military rites will be conducted by the Ashland County
Veterans.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at the
funeral home.
