Elizabeth Miller

In 1900, widow Elizabeth McElfresh (32 - Dec 1847) owned a farm in Franklin Twp., Monroe County, Ohio where she lived with four of her seven children, George (18 - Aug 1881), Luther T. (16 - Feb 1884), Harriet (14 - Mar 1886), and Anna (6 - Mar 1894). All of the children except Anna attended school. Everyone in the home was a native of Ohio, as were their parents. According to the census, all seven of Elizabeth's children were still living.

AGED WOMAN DIES
The death of Mrs. Elizabeth McElfresh, 81, occurred early Thursday
morning [26 Jul 1928] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence
Leasure, near Berne.
The deceased was a daughter of Robert and Nancy Miller and was
born and reared on a farm near Summerfield, but has made her home
for many years in the community where she died.
Besides Mrs. Leasure, two other daughters, Mrs. Josie Miller, Akron,
and Mrs. Harriet Biedenbach, Malta, for sons, George, Phillipine Islands;
Hayes, California, Henry and Luther McElfresh, and one brother, Albert
Miller, residing in the west.
