ZANESVILLE - Dennis L. Noll, 39, of Zanesville, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Tuesday, July 2, 1968, in Zanesville to Lawrence "Larry" and Ruth Walchak Noll. He married Jennifer Scharmer Noll on Aug. 7, 1999, and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dennis was a loving husband and father, precious son and dear brother. He was a hard working and respected leader. He was a man of strong faith who will be loved and greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was a 1986 graduate of Maysville High School. He received a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Akron and a master's degree from the University of St. Thomas. He was employed by The Fabri-Form Company.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Carter and Tyler Noll; four brothers, Roger (Linda Riley) Noll of Gahanna, Steve (Sue) Noll of Columbus, Thomas (Noreen Chap) Noll of Chicago, Ill. and Patrick Noll of Zanesville; a sister-in-law, Susan (Mike) Fries of St. Paul, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Steven (LuAnn) Scharmer of Clayton, Wis.; six nieces and nephews; and a mother and father-in-law, Robert and Judy Scharmer of Cumberland, Wis.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Sparling officiating. Burial will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Dennis' name.
