Rosemary McDermott

Obituary from the Marietta Times:

FLEMING -- Rosemary E. Arnold, 71, of 599 Turkeyhen Road, Fleming, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday (Nov. 17, 2006) at The Ohio State University Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 21, 1935, in Marietta, a daughter of the late Martin and Esther Gardner McDermott. She was a homemaker and participated in the O’Neill Center’s adult day care program. She graduated from Lowell High School in 1953. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church at Churchtown. She is survived by her son, Arthur Arnold and his wife, Susan, of Fleming; two grandsons, Nicholas Albert Arnold and Nathan Clarence Arnold, both at Ohio State University in Columbus; and one brother, William McDermott and his wife, Maureen, of Pataskala, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Arnold, who died March 3, 2000; they married Nov. 8, 1954. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Church with Father Frederich Kihm officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCurdy Funeral Home, Beverly, with vigil services at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the O’Neill Center’s Adult Day Care, 333 Fourth St., Marietta, 45750.
