Misty Offenberger and Dean Mason were united in marriage during an outdoor wedding ceremony. It was held at 6:30 p.m. June 28, at Goodfellows Park near Marietta. The Rev. Richard Hastings performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Randal and Sandra Offenberger of Waterford. She is the granddaughter of the late Albert and Veronica Offenberger of Waterford, and Carol Emerick and the late James Emerick of Marietta.
The groom is the son of Paul and Rebecca Mason of Marietta. He is the grandson of Helen Mason and the late Fred Mason of Marietta, and Willard and Kathryn Ellyson of Florida, formerly of Vincent.
The mothers of the bride and groom rode on four-wheeled ATVs to the ceremony, as did the groom and the rest of the bridal party. The bride was driven to the ceremony by her father on a 766 International Harvester tractor accompanied by the song "International Harvester" by Craig Morgan.
The bride wore a floor length satin gown with a small train. It was halter style, with a royal blue sash and bow, trimmed in sequins, beads, and lace. Her veil was trimmed in the same blue satin as the sash.
The maid of honor was Anicca Miller of Arcanum, Ohio, a friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Staci Collins of Waterford, Caitlin Clemings of Newark, Ohio, and Jenny Biehl of Whipple, all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Emma Hartline, a friend of the bride. They wore royal blue, floor length dresses with spaghetti straps.
The best man was Mark Hoover of Marietta. The groomsmen were Dan Mason and David Mason of Marietta, brothers of the groom, and Joshua Offenberger of Waterford, brother of the bride. The ring bearer was Zach Mason, cousin of the groom. They wore black jeans, white shirts, cowboy hats, and vests which matched the blue of the bridal party.
The wedding cake, bride's cake, and groom's cake were made by Nancy Emerick, aunt of the bride. The bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres were made by Jenny Biehl. The vests worn by the men were made by the mother of the groom. Pictures were taken by Mark Harris, friend of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony, a hog roast was served at the reception. Then the dance and music was provided by Mike Martin. The couple's first dance was to the song "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.
After a honeymoon at Smoke Hole Caverns Resort in West Virginia, the couple will reside in Marietta.
