William Andrew Heil

On 5 Jun 1917, 22 year old William Andy Heil of 147 Lawndale, Protalnd, Oregon registered for the US military draft. He stated that he was born on Feb 17 1895 in Denver, Col. He worked as a chauffeur for Jones Market at 4th and Alder in Portland. He was not married. William was described as being of medium height and slender build with brown eyes and light brown hair.

In 1930, William A. Hell rented a home for $25 a month on Union Ave. in Aloha, Washington County, Oregon. Living with him were his wife Ester A. (23) and daughters Joan C. (4) and Patricia L. (2 mos). According to the census, William was a native of California, Ester and Joan were born in California, and Patricia was from Oregon. William worked as an expressman for an express company. The family owned a radio set.


Norman W. Andrews

Dates of birth and death (from the Social Security Death Index) have not been proven.

In 1930, Norman W. Andrews (31) and his wife Minnie A. (29) rented a home for $22 a month in Portland, Oregon. Living with them was their 9 year old son William N. Norman was a native of North Carolina, as were his parents. Minnie was from Colorado. Norman was employed as an express agent for a railway. He was a veteran of World War I.
