Obituary:
Thomas Paul Jaeb, 64 years old, died at this home in Cadiz, OH Friday August 14 at 8:10 p.m. Formerly of Louisville, OH, he had lived most of his life in Louisville and Minerva, OH.
Mr. Jaeb was born in Louisville January 15 1934 and was a graduate of Louisville High School in 1952. He had retired from the Biery Cheese Co. and was formerly employed by the Superior Dairy Co. He was currently the pastor of the Springdale Friends Church in Adena, OH.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary (Zwick) Jaeb of Louisville, wife, Lou Ann Jaeb of Cadiz, OH; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Vivian) Groves of Alliance, OH, Mrs. Thomas (Ann) Krabill of Louisville, OH, and Mrs. Dale (Margaret) Eshelman of Hartville, OH. Two sons, Paul R. (Becky) Jaeb of Marysville, OH and Thomas A. (JoLynn) Jaeb of Louisville, OH and six grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Daniel (Charlene) Jaeb of Middleburg His., OH and two sisters, Mrs. Lowell (Jane) Ebie of Louisville, OH and Mrs. Vernon (Evelyn) Maurer also of Louisville, OH. Mr. Jaeb was preceded in death by his father, Reinhold Jaeb.
Funeral services were held at the Cassaday-Tukle-Christian Funeral Home Wednesday Aug. 19 at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jim Ogden of the Mt. Pleasant Friends Church. Visitation was held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Fairmount Memorial Park. Evelyn P. Maurer, age 74, of Louisville, loving wife, mother, grandmotherand great-grandmother, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004, in AultmanHospital following a recent illness. She was born September 17, 1929, inLouisville, to the late Reinhold J. and Mary A. (Zwick) Jaeb. Evelyn wasbaptized, married and a life long member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Shewas active in various church activities as well as a volunteer at St. JosephCare Center. She enjoyed antique cars and spending time with her family andfriends. She will be greatly missed. Philippians 1:21 "To live is Christ andto die is gain." Evelyn is survived by her husband of 56 years, Vernon G.Maurer whom she married December 27, 1947; daughters, Barb (Bill) Alexanderof Louisville, Nancy Tucker of Louisville, Mary Jo Sowd of East Canton,Chris (Tim) Samblanet of Louisville, Joanie (Charlie) Boston of Wintersvilleand Lori (Jeff) Ruffing of Louisville; sons, Rev. James (Jan) Maurer ofSouth Carolina and John Maurer of Canton; sister, Jane Ebie of Louisville;brother, Daniel Jaeb of Middleburg Heights; 20 grandchildren; 13great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Jaeb; anda granddaughter, Heidi Samblanet. A Mass of Christian Burial will becelebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. KenMiller officiating. Interment will follow services in parish cemetery.Friends may call Tuesday (today) 4-7 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Homein Louisville.
