According to the Ohio online death certificate index, 40 year old Keith Clay was divorced at the time of his death. The name of his wife and children (if any) are not known at this time. Keith's employment was classified as a truck driver in the cement industry.

Sources conflict on place of birth. At various times the online Ohio death certificate index gave Jefferson Co., OH (Jan 2003) and Franklin Co., OH (Nov 2005). Linda Anderson indicates place of birth was Stark Co., but does not cite a source.

S1/c Albert Schoeppner served in the Navy in World War II. The Ohio death certificate index clasifies his employemnt as a general office clerk in the business services industry.

Violet L. Whiting

Obituary:

Violet L. Schoeppner, age 82, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Sunday, April 13, 2008. She was born on August 11, 1925 in Canton to the late Frank and Agnes Whiting. Violet was a member of the Eagles Lodge #2223 Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Violet loved her Lord Jesus and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents,
Violet was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul F. Schoeppner in 1992; seven brothers; and six sisters.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Marcia) Schoeppner of Charlotte, NC, Paul (Gail) Schoeppner of Silt, CO and Michael (Mary) Schoeppner of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Rebecca (Everett) Sexton of Canton, OH and Diane (William) Bartlett of Beach City, OH; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W., North Canton, OH 44720) with Pastor Larry Patterson officiating. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in North Canton Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held, following the burial, at the Eagles Lodge #2223 (6979 Sunset Strip Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720).

Adam Reischman

In 1870, Adam Rashman (34) and his wife Magdelena (34) owned a farm worth $2500 in Malaga Twp. (near Woodsfield), Monroe County, Ohio. They lived with their children Mary (15), Jacob (12), Magdelena (9), Barbary (8), John (5), Matilda (2), and Adam (1). The oldest four children attended school. Adam's personal possessions were valued at $600. The Reischman's next door neighbors were Magdelena's parents and Martin Rashman.


Obituary from the Monroe County Republican: :
Adam Reischman, aged 82 years, died at the home of his daughter Mrs.
M. Griffith, Sunday night about 11 o'clock from disease incident to old
age. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and interment
at the Catholic Cemetery.

Philomena Reischman entered the convent as Sister Isabel. According to the obituary of her sister, Magdelena Reischman Kress, Sister Isabelle lived in St. Francis Convent in Pittsburgh, PA in 1958.


Anna M. Kress

Wedding announcement:
Miss Anna Kress, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Kress of Louisville, and Norman Wilhelm of Canton were married
Tuesday morning. The ceremony was performed at St. Louis
Catholic church by Rev. N. P. Weckel and the attendants were
Miss Josephine Zwick and Fred Fete, of Canton. Mrs. Wilhelm
wore a gown of white crepe and a veil, and Miss Zwick was gowned
in green crepe.
After the ceremony, a dinner was served at the bride’s
home to the immediate relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm were given
many gifts accompanied by hearty congratulations. They are
spending a few days in East Liverpool and upon their return they
will make their home in Canton.
The guests were Rev. N. P. Weckel, Mrs. Fred Wilhelm,
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wilhelm, Mr. and Mrs. John Kress and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zwick and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian
Zwick, Francis and Miss Josephine Zwick, Misses Catherine Moffitt,
Myrtle and Anna Myers, and Fred Fete.


Norbert J. Brahler

BRAHLERS MARK 45TH
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert J. Brahler of Louisville celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary
with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 12 noon on Sunday Aug 19, at St. Louis Church, where
they are members.
The Brahlers were married Aug. 19, 1939 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alliance by
Rev. Fr. Paul Haren. They were honored with a family dinner at Haren's Restaurant followed
by a party in their home with friends and relatives.
There are 10 children: Ester Martin of Scottsdale, Arizona; Elizabeth (sic) Brahler of Middletown, Ohio, Paul, Carl, Eugene, Dale and Erma Ann Haines of Louisville, Marion Brahler of Canton, Edna Gottsman of Canal Fulton; and Evelyn Adams of Alliance. There
are 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Brahler is the former Orilla (Marie) Kress of Louisville. Mr. Brahler is retired from
the Flinkote Cement Co. of Middlebranch.

The above article erred in reporting the name of one of Norbert's daughters. The daughter who lived in Middletown was Eleanor, not Elizabeth.

Norbert Brahler's obituary:
Norbert J. Brahler, age 77, of 915 Parkview Dr., Louisville, passed away Monday evening,
June 6, in Timken Mercy Medical Center.
Born in Harrisburg, Ohio on Dec 13, 1910, he was retired from Diamond Portland Cement
Co., and a retired farmer. He was a former employee of the Burger Div. Of Republic Steep,
a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisville K of C Council #2530, Nimishillen Grange
#1627, Louisville Eagles Aerie #2374, Catholic Order of Foresters #1831 and AARP.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Orilla Marie in 1985; one sister, Rita. He is survived
by five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Esther) Martin of Phoenix, Arizona, Eleanor Brahler of Huber Hts.,
Ohio, Mrs. Floyd (Edna Mae) Gottsman of Canal Fulton, Mrs. Michael (Evelyn) Adams of
Alliance and Mrs. Michael (Erma Ann) Haines of Louisville; five sons, Marion (Ray) of
Canton, Paul, Carl, Eugene and Dale - all of Louisville; three sisters Sister Josita and Sister
Victorine - both of Our Lady of the Elms in Akron, Theresa Lenhart of Canton; four brothers,
Herman of Canton, Walter of Alliance, Marvin of Florida, Francis of Cleveland, eleven
grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jun 10 in St. Louis Catholic Church.
Friends called Thursday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville. Interment was in St.
Louis Cemetery.

Tuesday. Interment was in the church cemetery. Contributions may
be made to the St. Louis Catholic Church.


Eleanor Maragret Brahler

Norbert and Orilla Brahler's obituaries list a daughter named Eleanor Brahler; their anniversary announcement names one of his daughters as Elizabeth Brahler. Further research is necessary to determine if Eleanor and Elizabeth are the same person.

A photo on page 13 of the Van Wert Times Bulletin on 13 Feb 1976 identifies Miss Eleanor Brahler as the principal of St. Mary's School in Van Wert, OH. The woman appears to be in her 30s. It is not known if this is the daughter of Norbert Brahler.
