Henry Rudolph Biedenbach

In 1930, Henry R. Biedenbach (27) rented a home for $23 a month on Tuscarawas Ave. East Extension in Canton, Stark County, Ohio. He lived there with his wife Constance (22) and children Robert (2 yrs 6 months) and Ruth (9 months). Henry was employed as a wood worker for a door and sash manufacturrer. The Biedenbach family owned a radio set. Henry may have known fellow Fulda descendant and carpenter Joseph Johanning, who lived just down the street.

Henry R. Biedenbach

Henry R. Biedenbach, 82, of 420 N. Seventh St. died 8:04 p.m. Wednesday (June 19, 1965) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 17, 1903 in Burkhart Station in Monroe County, son of the late Joseph and Barbara R. Muth Biedenbach.

Mr. Biedenbach, a retired farmer, was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church. He leaves his wife, Connie Hughes Biedenbach, whom he married Oct. 26, 1926, three sons, Robert Biedenbach of Morris Plains, NJ, Frank Biedenbach and John Biedenbach both of Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Fox of Dillon Hills, Nashport, Sister Eloise Biedenbach of St. Benedict's Convent, Cambridge, Mrs. Edward (Eloise) Zayac of Senacaville, and Mrs. Donald (Regina) Whittingham of Dover; a brother, Clarence Biedenbach of Grant's Pass, Ore; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Christine) Stiner of Glendale Calif., Mrs. George (Ann) Wiesend of Canton and Mrs. T. M. (Helen) Ehlerman of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

One daughter, Rita Barbara Biedenbach, died June 10, 1939. Four brothers and sisters also preceded him in death. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Scott-Atkinson Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Maher as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosary devotions will be 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Constance I. "Connie" Biedenbach, 92
Cambridge - Constance I. "Connie" Biedenbach, 92, a long time resident of Cambridge died Sunday, Feb 20, 2000 at S.E.I.R.M.C.

Born Dec 12, 1907, in Belmont County, she was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Club and former employee of Cambridge Dry Cleaners and Tyson Cleaners. Surviving are three sons, Robert Biedenbach of Cambridge, Frank Biedenbach of Canton and John Biedenbach of Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Fox of Reynoldsburg, Sister Eloise of St. Benedict's Convent in Cambridge, Mrs. Eddie (Eloise) Zayac of Senacaville, and Mrs. Donald J. (Regina) Whittingham Jr. of Dover; one sister, Mrs. Mary Adkins of Barnesville, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph A. and Rose V. (Pfeffer) Hughes; her husband, Henry R. Biedenbach, who she married Oct. 26 1926; a daughter, Rita Barbara Biedenbach, and three brothers, Frank, Ernest and Anthony Hughes.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Scott Funeral Home, 1009 Steubenville Ave., Cambridge, with Wake Service at 8 p.m. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvar Cemetery, Cambridge


Robert Joseph Biedenbach

CAMBRIDGE - Robert Joseph Biedenbach, 79, of Zanesville, formerly of Cambridge, died at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Canton, to the late Henry R. Biedenbach and Constance I. Hughes Biedenbach. Robert was a former member of St. Benedict's parish in Cambridge but was attending St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville. He retired after many years as a grounds keeper for the State of New Jersey in 1990. Robert loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking, gardening and long drives in the country.
Robert is survived by two brothers, Frank (Frances) Biedenbach and John Biedenbach of Canton; four sisters, Ruth (Russell) Fox of Reynoldsburg, Sister Eloise of St. Benedict Convent, Cambridge, Eloise Zayac of Cambridge and Regina Whittingham; aunt, Mary Adkins of Barnesville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rita Barbara Biedenbach; and two brother-in-laws, Eddie Zayac and Donald Whittingham Jr.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Scott-Specht Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, St. Benedict Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cambridge. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict School at 714 Gomber Ave., Cambridge, Ohio

Russell J. Fox, 76, of Reynoldsburg, died Saturday (June 13, 2009) at his home. He was born in Zanesville, the son of the late Maxwell O. and Carrie Ballinger Fox. Mr. Fox was a newspaper pressman and was retired from the Columbus Dispatch. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a 1950 graduate of Lash High School. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. His hobbies were traveling and genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Maxwell, Leslie, Walter and Kenneth.
He leaves his wife, Ruth Biedenbach Fox, who he married June 2, 1956; one sister, Julia Senter; three brothers, Ronald, Richard and Dennis Fox; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, 139 South 9th St. Cambridge.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Cambridge, with the Rev. Fr. Robert Borer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cambridge.
