Raymond John Blake

Raymond J. BLAKE, age 90, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2002
at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Fulda, Noble County,
OH on June 30, 1912 to the late Fred and Anna (NOLL) BLAKE. He spent nearly five
years in World War II, mostly in the European Theatre, receiving awards such as the
Bronze Star, Leaf Clusters, etc. He worked for Superior Sheet Steel, Borger Warner,
U.S. Berger, retiring from Union Metal after 20 years. He attended Fairhope United
Methodist Church.
Raymond was preceded in death by a brother, Carlin and a sister, Cora Cordle. He is
survived by his wife of 54 years, Freda; two stepsons, Richard Moore of Humble, TX
and Carl Moore of Reno, NV; two brothers, Edwin Blake of Tipton, IA and Harry Blake
of Baring, WA; four step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with Rev.
Charles Graham officiating. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment
will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Canton
Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 4815 Munson St. NW, Canton, OH 44718.


Thurman Allen Cordle

Thurman Cordle was with the First Marine Air Group during World War II. He was a resident of Madison Co., Ohio at the time of his death.

Harry Charles Blake

In 1956, Harry and his family lived in Columbus, Ohio. Harry Blake was living in Baring, King Co., WA in Aug 2002.


Patricia Grace Miller

Sources conflict on place of death. Researcher Dawn Ford states that Patricia Miller Blake died in Ohio. However, there is no record of that death in the Ohio online death certificate index. The Social Security Death Index gives Patricia's last residence as Baring, King Co., WA


Charles Embert Blackstone

Delores Snider does not list a date of birth for Embert Blackstone. His twelve siblings were all born about two years apart. There are no "gaps" in the birth order in which Embert might have been born. In 1910, 13 year old Embert lived in the household of his grandfather, Issac Blackstone, in Salt Creek Twp., Muskingum Co., Ohio.

Embert's nephew Charles F. Blackstone states that Embert is the child of Clark's first marriage to an unknown woman. Charles Blackstone says that his father, John L. Blackstone (Embert's step brother) never spoke much about the family, so details are not known.

Charles Embert Blackstone's death certificate lists his parents as Clark Blackstone and Myrtle Dudley. He was a retired filling station owner, according to his death certificate.


Wilbur Francis Blackstone

In 1930, Wilbur Blackstone was a resident of a rooming house in Grand Rapids, Michigan. According to the census, he and his parents were natives of Ohio. He was employed as a rubber in the furniture industry. None of the ten other boarders in the rooming house were from Ohio. Wilbur was listed as being married, but his family did not reside with him. His wife and child have not been found in the 1930 census.


Wilbur Blackstone Jr.

Wilbur Blackstone's death certificate states that both he and his mother were natives of Michigan. However, he was baptized in St. Mary's in Fulda, Noble County, Ohio.

Wilbur was develomentally disabled. According to his death certificate, a contribuory cause of death was "idiocy" present since birth.
