Ruth Marlene Warner, age 71, of Carlisle, passed away at her home Monday, November 30, 2009. She was born May 8, 1938, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Francis Dimmerling and Emma Kuhn Dimmerling of Caldwell. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend and teacher. She taught for the Noble Local School District, retiring after 36 years of service. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s Club, Noble County Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Ruth was an avid reader, sports fan and active member of the community. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Warner who she married November 4, 1961; two sons, Ron (Suzan) Warner of Marietta, Roger (Megan) Warner of Bellbrook; two daughters, Rhonda (John) Varhola of Sarahsville, Reva (Brian) Moore of Westerville. Ten grandchildren: Ryan and Alan Varhola; Justin, Megan, Jessica, Isaac, Max and Lucy Warner; Hunter and Cody Moore. Four brothers: Paul (Maureen) Dimmerling of Caldwell, Marvin (Darlene) Dimmerling and Bill Dimmerling of Carlisle, and Gary (Susie) Dimmerling of Granville; Five sisters: Melba (Oliver) Hupp and Jean (Larry) Lowe of Caldwell, Jane (Virgil) Thompson of Summerfield, Alice (Richard) Piatt of Graysville, and Marilyn (Tom) Poland of Pleasant City. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends will be received Wednesday, December 2, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Vigil Service held at 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Carlisle, with Rev. Father Thomas Hamm and Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Guernsey, Inc, P.O. Box #1165, Cambridge, OH 43725. Obituary:
CALDWELL — John R. Lowe, 19, of Caldwell, died Wednesday (Sept. 13, 2000)
in Caldwell. He was born Sept. 22, 1980, in Zanesville, son of Larry and Jean (Dimmer-
ling) Lowe of Caldwell. John was a graduate of Caldwell High School and a member of
St. Stephen Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Homer and Genevieve Abrams and Francis
Dimmerling. He leaves his grandmother, Emma Dimmerling of Caldwell; three brothers,
Randy (Karen) Lowe of Zanesville, and Dan Lowe and Rob Lowe, both of Caldwell; three
sisters, Mrs. Jeff (Barb) Wiehe of Plain City, and Alicia Lowe and Sarah Lowe, both of
Caldwell; a niece; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with
Mass of Christian burial to follow at 4:30 p.m. The Rev. Father Dale Tornes will serve
as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be
made to St. Stephen Catholic Church.
