Marian Hope Willey

DEXTER CITY - Marian Hope Mitchell, 74, of Dexter City died Wednesday morning (Dec. 4, 2002) at the home of her daughter in Caldwell after a long illness. She was born April 21, 1928, in Noble County to Benjamin and Mareeda Boney Willey. She was a former employee of the former Westinghouse & Hamilton Beach-Scoville Co. plants in Byesville; was a former cook for the Joyce M. Davis Senior Citizens Center in Caldwell; and had worked as a poll worker for the Noble County Board of Elections for more than 30 years. She was a member of Keith United Methodist Church in Keithtown, Ohio; the Noble County Recycled Teen-Agers Choir; and Dexter City American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a 60-year member of Laurel Grange. She was a participant in the foster grandparent program at Shenandoah Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Basil Mitchell, who died Oct. 8, 1997; her parents; one granddaughter, Stacy Davis; three sisters, Anna Irene Andersenn, Margel Schmidt and Virginia Belle Willey; and five brothers, Clinton W., Lawrence E. "Pete," William Marilin, Clyde E. and Robert Stanton Willey. She is survived by four daughters, Charlene K. (Jack) Davis of Caldwell, Diane L. (James) Dick of Mansfield, Barbara L. (Chuck) Schott of Tenino, Wash., and Lynette A. (Mitch) Finley of Caldwell; two sons, Ronald B. Mitchell of Keithtown and Donald S. (Sue) Mitchell of Beverly; two sisters, Clela DeLancey and Ethelyn Ogle of Keithtown; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell with the Rev. Jerry Huntsman and the Rev. William Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial is in Keithtown Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Keith United Methodist Church or Hospice of Guernsey. Theobald Haren

Theobald Haren worked on the railroad in Barnsville, Belmont, Ohio at the time of death. Theobald is buried at St.Mary's Parish, Church of The Assumption Cemetery, Barnsville, Belmont, Ohio.

Found on 1880 Ohio State Index at age 24 yrs. with following family members: Wife: Philomena (Yontz) (Listed as Philamine) Age 21 and Children: Alexander S. Age 7 Mo. Age at Death: 36 yrs.

Obit: The death of Mr. Theobald Haren occurred at him home south of town,last Friday morning, after several weeks illness of typhoid fever. Mr.Haren was about thirty three years of age, and up to the time of hisrecent illness had enjoyed excellent health. He had been a resident ofthis place for a number of years, but formerly resided at Miltonsburg.

He was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, and a man who had manyfriends among the people with whom he was associated. He leaves a wifeand four children to mourn the loss of a good husband and father, and towhom we extend the deepest sympathy. Funeral services were held Saturdaymorning at ten o'clock, Rev. Father Montag officiating. The remains werelaid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.

Gallagher (1878 -1946), Philomena (1859 -1928), & Matilda who may have been a child but unknown. Age at Death: 70 yrs,1mo,8days. Time of Death: 5:50am.
