Clyde F. Nau

Clyde F. Nau Clyde F. Nau, age 74, of Canton, passed away
Thursday morning in Mercy Medical Center, follow-
ing a brief illness. Born in Canton, he was the son
of the late Roman George and Amelia (Schoepner)
Nau, a 1949 graduate of Central Catholic, and served
in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired
from Ohio Bell after 34 years of service; he was very
active in the Stark Central Democratic Committee,
served as president of the CWA local #4303, served
as a board member of the Canton Telephone Credit
Union, member of the Canton City Income Tax Appeals
Board, and was a volunteer for the Pro Football Hall of
Fame festival activities.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Marsha A. Nau of the
home; sons, C. Dennis (Heidi) Nau, of Far Hills, NJ,
David J. (JoEllen) Nau, of Onalaska, WI, Douglas R.
Nau, Kailua, HI, Robert A. (Mickey) Nau, of Louisville,
Brian D. Nau, of Canton; brothers, Paul J. Nau of Ann
Arbor, MI, Donald (Nitzi) Nau of Dunwoody, GA, Ralph
J (Irene) Nau, of Canton; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great
-grandchild.
A memorial service will be Saturday evening at 7PM
in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Fr. Thomas P. Dyer
officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 5 to 7 PM in
the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
to the Remembrance Fund of Mercy Medical Center, in
loving memory of Clyde F. Nau. For those unable to attend
