Marilyn Louise Arnold

The following birth announcement appeared in The Zanesville (OH) Signal on November 26, 1946LOWELL -- A daughter was born, Tuesday, to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Arnold of Watertown. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schaad, of near Lowell, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold of Churchtown, are the grandparents.


Eugene Jacob Arnold

An article on page 12 of the The Zanesville Times Recorder on 25 Aug 1938 titled "Ruppel Family Reunion" lists attendees "Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Arnoldson (sic), Ralph and Gene Arnold [of] Waterford."

Eugene Arnold was a veteran of the US Army.


Viola Marie Schaad

The following appeared in the Zanesville Signal on October 13, 1938: SCHAAD-ARNOLD RITES Miss Viola Schaad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Schaad and Eugene Arnold were married Tuesday morning
at the catholic church here. Rev. Father Piccard officiated.


Obituary:
BEVERLY - Viola Marie Arnold, 83, of Third Street died
at 12:55 p.m. Thursday ( Aug. 26, 2004) at Appletree Home in
Beverly.
She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Lowell to Peter and Mary
Fohl Schaad. She was a homemaker and had worked at the
Riecker Ben Franklin Store in Beverly. She was a member of
the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Beverly and the Catholic
Womens Club.
She is survived by two sons, Bob Arnold and his wife, Yvonne,
of Beverly and Larry Arnold and his wife, Carol, of Belpre; three
daughters, Janet Warren and her husband, Roy, of Westlake,
Ohio, Rosemary Downs Henry and her husband, Dean, of Water-
ford and Loretta O'Linn and her husband, Larry, of Beverly; 11
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
On Oct. 11, 1938, she married Eugene J. "Gene" Arnold. He
died on Jan. 11, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her
parents; three brothers, Walter, Bill and Ralph Schaad; two sisters,
Mary Ann Heslop and Hilda Arnold; and one son-in-law, David
Downs.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday (Aug. 30, 2004) at St. Bernard
Catholic Church in Beverly with Monsignor Robert Kawa officiating.
Burial is in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is from 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at McCurdy Funeral
Home in Beverly. Christian wake services will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beverly-Waterford
Rescue Squad; or Washington County Home Nursing and Hospice,

Robert Eugene Arnold

Robert D. Drayer

Obituary from the Marietta Times, Sept 23, 2008
WATERFORD - Robert D. Drayer, 89, of Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 18, 2008) at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Marietta, a son of Edward L. and Velma Mitchem Drayer. He retired from the Ohio Power Company Muskingum River Plant in 1986.
He was a member of the Beverly United Methodist Church and the Ohio Power Retirees Club.
On Aug. 10, 1940, he married Hazel Flannery Drayer; she died Nov. 17, 2002.
He is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Arnold and husband, Bob, of Beverly, Patricia Schaad and husband, John, of Swansea, S.C., and Shirley Arnold of Waterford; nine grandchildren, Debbie Brenneman, Mindy Arnold Lilly, Doug Schaad, Jason Schaad, Eric Schaad, Tana Schaad, Brandon Schaad, Trey Wears, and Kacie Wears; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; five brothers, Harold, Lewis, Ronald, Alphus, and Gernard Drayer; three sisters, Juanita Miller, Geneva Fullwood, and Ilona McFerren.
Services were held Sunday at Beverly United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Corbett officiating. Burial will follow in Waterford Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday at McCurdy Funeral Home.

David Lynn Downs

The following wedding announcement appeared in the Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) on Aug 1, 1964: DOWNS-ARNOLD CEREMONY READ IN BEVERLY CHURCH Miss Rosemary Arnold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene
J. Arnold of Beverly, was married to David Lynn Downs, son
Mr. and Mrs. George Downs of McConnelsville, in a ceremony
performed Saturday, June 20, in St. Bernard's catholic Church
in Beverly. Msgr. Ambrose Schilling officiated at the double
ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full length
sheath of organza over taffeta with insertions of Chantilly lace.
A brief jacket of lace was designed with a detachable watteau
train. The bride's ballerina length veil of silk illusion was attached
to a crown of seed pearls and her bouquet was of yellow roses
and leather leaf ferns. Miss Janet Arnold was her sister's maid of honor wearing a
floor length gown of blue satin and lace with matching headdress
and veil. Her flowers wee pink carnations and spiral eucalyptus in a
golden basket. Miss Loretta Arnold was junior bridesmaid in her sister's
wedding party wearing a gown identical to the honor attendant's
and carrying a matching bouquet. Daniel Downs, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Ushers were Larry Arnold, brother of the bride, Jim Shindler
and Lloyd Nesselroad. A reception was held in the church social room. Aides were
Miss Joanne Biedenbach, Miss Marilyn Arnold, Mrs. Ralph
Schaad, Mrs. Velba Arnold and Mrs. Terry Snow. The newlyweds are living on McConnelsville, route 2. The bride is a graduate of Fort Frye High School and is em-
ployed by Ohio Power Company at Beverly. Mr. Downs was
graduated from Malta-McConnelsville High School and also
is an Ohio Power Company employee
