Anna Elizabeth Herbst

In 1910, Elizabeth Herbst (20) lived with her widowed mother, two older sisters, and a niece and nephew at 725 Helena St., Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was not employed outside the home.


Francis X. Raab

Obituary:
Frank Raab, son of Kilian and Amelia Raab, was born in Fulda, in 1873, and died in St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburg, PA, Tuesday Sept. 26 after an illness of pneumonia. His sister Mrs. E. P. Archer of Lewisville and Miss Minnie Raab of New Lexington, attended the funeral services held Friday, September 29.

Frank Killian was born in Allegheny City (now the North Side of Pittsburgh), not Fulda, as stated in his obituary.


Philomena Gertrude Raab

In 1910, unmarried Philomena Raab (31) lived in the home of her sister, Teresa Archer, in Lewisville, Monroe County, Ohio. She was not employed outside the home.

Philomena's death certificate is typewritten. Her married name is clearly Souders, not Sonders The death certificate indicates that she was found dead in the rear yard of her home.


Henry Aloysius Dittman

Henry and Mary raised their family in Allegheny Co., PA.

In 1910, Henry (53) and Mary (48) Dittman lived at 27 Earl Street East in Duquesne, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. According to the census, the couple had 14 children, 11 of whom were still living in 1910. Ten of those children lived with their parents (Amelia did not). The ten children were: Leo (23), Coleeta (20), Henry (19), Clarence (16), Margaret (15), Raphael (13), Jerome (11), Adelbert (8), Magdelene (8), and Cyril (6). The youngest five children attended school. Everyone in the household was born in Pennsylvania. Henry and Mary's parents were natives of Germany. Henry was employed as a roller in a steel mill.

Obituary:
HENRY A. DITTMAN Henry A. Dittman, 86, of 605 Union St., McKeesport, a former resident
of Duquesne, died at his home yesterday at 6:42 p.m. He was the son of the late Frederick and Catherine M. Hengelsberg Dittman,
and was born in Allegheny County Aug 8, 1855. Surviving are his widow, Mary
Raab Dittman; six sons, Leo, Clarence, Jerome and Adelbert of Duquesne: Raphel
of Versailles Borough; Cyril of McKeesport; four daughters Mrs. Amelia Rendine
of Connellsville; Mrs. Frank Zewe, Mrs. Paul Madden; and Mrs. Lawrence Weber
of McKeesport; 32 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Dittman was a member of St. Mary's German Roman Catholic Church of
McKeesport and a former employee of the Duquesne Steel Works. He will be buried in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery Tuesday following services
at St. Mary's Church at 9 a.m. in charge of the Rev. W. C. Fromme. Friends are being
received at the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home.


Mary Catherina Raab

The following notes appeared in the Fulda column of the Caldwell Citizens' Press, on 7 Jun 1883:
Miss Mary Raab returned to Pittsburg last Friday, after a visit of
four weeks with her parents and friends in and around town.

Obituary:
MRS. MARY R. DITTMAN Mrs. Mary Raab Dittman, 91, died yesterday at 7:10 p.m. in her
home, 53-B Crawford Village. She was born in North side, Pittsburgh, on April 26, 1862, a daughter
of the late Killian and Amelia Raab, and came to McKeesport 27 years ago.
She was a member of St. Pius Roman Catholic Church and it's Rosary Society,
the Christian Mothers and the L.C.B.A. Friends are being received at the Craig Memorial Home. Requiem mass
will be offered at 11 a.m.Saturday, at St. Pius Church by the Rev. Mark Flanna-
gan. Internment will be in New St. Joseph's Cemetery. Widow of Henry A. Dittman. Mrs. Dittman is survived by four daughters
Mrs. Amelia Rendine of Connellsville and Mrs. Coletta Zewe, Mrs. Magdalene
Weber, and Mrs. Margarite Madden , all of McKeesport: Five sons, Leo H. of
Dravosburg, Clarence F., and Adelbert C. Dittman both of Duquesne, Raphel of
Miami, Fla., and Cyril M. of McKeesport: 36 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren
and a sister, Mrs. Teresa Archer of Lewisville, O.
