Jerome Sylvester Miller

In 1920, 35 year old house contractor Jerome S. Miller lived in a house that he owned at 709 Fourth St. in Pease Twp., Belmont Co., Ohio with his wife Mary (37) and children Laura (13), Tiburteous (11), Dolores (9), Louis (6), Edward (4), Herbert (2), and Bernard (1). Everyone was born in Ohio except Laura, who was born in Pennsylvania. Laura, Ty, Dolores and Louis attended school.

At the time of the 1930 census, Jerome Miller (45) and his wife Mary (47) owned a home in Richland Twp., Belmont Co., Ohio. Living with them were their children Laura (24), Tiburtius (22), Deloris (19), Lewis (17), Edward (14), Herbert (13), Berhard (11) and Mary K. (2). Lewis, Edward, Herbert, and Berhard attended school. Jerome was a general building contractor and Tiburtius was a carpenter who worked odd jobs. Places of birth agreed with those in the 1920 census. Jerome's father and mother were natives of West Virginia and Ohio, respectively. Mary's father was from Ohio and her mother was German.

In 1930, Bernard (23) and Marie (19) Bott lived in a rented house in Center Twp., Monroe Co., OH. Their possessions were valued at $120. Bernard was employed as a butcher.
