Kenneth Ziler

Kenneth V. “Butch” Ziler age 65, of Caldwell, OH passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Summit Acres Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. He was born April 28, 1948 in Marietta, OH a son of the late Kenneth E. “Red” and Marilyn Kiehl Ziler.
Butch was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. He served and protected his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He was a tool salesman for MAC Tools for many years. He was previously employed for B & N Coal in Dexter City, OH and Quinn Development in St. Clairsville, OH. He was a pilot and had a passion for flying. He was a loving father and his favorite times were those spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Chrissy Ziler Mincks; 2 grandchildren Isaiah Daniel Nigh and Allison Elizabeth Nigh; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Mary Michel and grandparents Ivan and Lois Ziler.
He was loved and will be missed by his family, wife Alice Michel Ziler, whom he married August 9, 1969; 3 daughters Ann (Jeff) Bowen of Caldwell, Susan E. Ziler of East Canton and Julie M. Ziler of Caldwell; 4 grandchildren Dominic Mincks, Matt and Emily Bowen and Raegan McBride. He is also survived by his beloved dog Buttons.
Friends will be received Monday January 13, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724, with a Vigil Service at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday January 14, 2014 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Caldwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 24, Caldwell, OH 43724. .

Frances A. Bettinger

Obituary:
Frances A. Hesson, age 90, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, December 3, 2007, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born September 23, 1917, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Young Bettinger. She was formerly employed by Gunnell's Restaurant and Roby's Coffee Shop, both of Caldwell. She was a member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hesson, who died in September, 1978; one brother, Clarence Bettinger; and a half-sister, Bernice Templeton.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty (Gary) McClain of Columbus and Cathy (Stanley) Michel of Caldwell; one sister, Gladys Miller of Caldwell; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Friday, December 7th at 1PM with Pastor Dave Wells officiating. Youngstown Man Gets Wynford Job
Bucyrus -- William Brahler Jr. of Youngstown has been hired as
elementary principal of the Wynford School District. Mr. Brahler,
who has been an elementary teacher in the Youngstown School system
for the past eight years, succeeds Ronald Yaussy, who was released to
take an executive position in the Lina Shawnee School District. Mr.
Yaussy had held the post for two years.

A note in the Marion (OH) Star dated 09 Feb 1966 states that William O. Brahler Jr. of RR 4, Bucyrus was admitted to Bucyrus Community Hospital. He was discharged on 16 Feb 1966.
