Stark County online probate court marriage index shows two marriage records for Clyde Brahler:

Further research needs to be done to clarify the situation.

According to the online Ohio death certificate index, Clyde Brahler was married at the time of his death.


Aldine Earl Smith

According to his draft registration card (filled out 5 Jun 1917), Aldine E. Smith resided at 401 Jacunda St., Mt. Olive Sta., Pittsburgh, PA. He was born in Pittsburgh of medium height and slender build with brown hair and brown eyes. He was employed as a carpet layer at McElven Furniture Co. in Pittsburgh.

At the time of the 1920 census, Aldine E. Smith (22) was a soldier at Camp Dix in Burlington County, New Jersey. Al worked as a chauffer. According to the census, both his parents were natives of Pennsylvania.

In 1930, Aldine E. Smith (34) owned a home worth $4000 at 1040 Fordham Avenue in Pittsburgh. Living with him were his wife Catherine (25) and daughter Marilyn J. (5 mos.). Also living in the home was Al's mother-in-law, Barbara Freund. Al was employed as a blue-printer. In this census, the birthplace of Aldine's father and mother are given as Ohio and Pennsylvania, resepectively.

Obituary:

Catherine H. Freund Smith, 94, formerly of Upper St. Clair, died Monday, June 12, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldine Earl Smith. Surviving are a daughter; a son-in-law; two grandsons; threegreat-grandchildren;
and nieces and nephews. Friends were received Wednesday at Freyvogel-Slater
Funeral Directors, 112 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church. Interment in Jeffer-
son Memorial Park.


William Phillip Tucker Jr.

In 1930, Phillip Tucker (26) rented a house at 306 Fairywood St. in Pittsburgh for $30 a month. He lived there with his with his wife Margaret A. (25) and son Phillip A. (1). The family owned a radio set. Phillip Sr. was born in Missouri, his wife was from Czeckoslovakia, and their son was born in Pennsylvania. Phillip worked as a radio serviceman. His mother and father were born in Texas and Pennsylvania, respectively.

From David L. Tucker (son of William Philip Tucker): It's interesting how little Dad knew about his parents. He had said that his father was born in Texas. That's what's on this census, also. I found out that Granddad was born in Dallas alright -- Dallas Twp., St. Clair Co., MO. And he listed his mother's birthplace as PA. She was born in MO also, but her father and the previous three generations were from PA. Dad also provided the information for the death certificates for both of his parents. On both, the parents of the deceased, Dad's grandparents, were "unknown".


Andrew Alexander Miller

Andrew Miller's obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder, pg 2 B , 20 Dec 1967
Andrew A. Miller, 39, of Caldwell Route 1, a carpenter
employed by Lahue Construction Company, died at 3 a.m.
Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He had been ill
since May with leukemia. He was born Dec 23, 1927 in
Noble County, a son of Margaret Warner Miller and the
late Alex Miller.
Mr. Miller was co-owner of Herlan Inn near Caldwell
on Route 78. He was a veteran of World War II, a member
of St. Stephen's Catholic Church at Caldwell and the Frater-
nal Order of Eagles at Belle Valley. He is survived by his
widow, Joan; his mother of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Nola
Nau of Wooster and Mrs. Dorothy Russell of Ravenna; two
brothers, Ralph and Gerald, both of Caldwell.
Requiem high mass will be concelebrated at 9 a.m. Friday
at St. Stephens Catholic Church by Father Stephen Pekalla
and Father Joseph Finan. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cem-
etery at Caldwell where military rites will be conducted by the
Caldwell Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Summerfield
American Legion Post.
Friends may call at Brubach Funeral Home at Summerfield
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The body will then be taken to
Murphy Funeral Home at Caldwell where friends may call
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Thursday and where the Rosary will be
recited at 8 p.m. Thursday.
