Clem Burkhart was a U.S. mail carrier. Death certificate was Mrs. Ila (Ola?) Burkhart. Her relationship with Clem Burkhart is unknown.


Elwood A. Burkhart

Obituary (courtesy of Betty Hartley):
Elwood B. Burkhart, 64, of 158 Ohio Street, Barnesville,
died Sunday at Barnesville Hospital. He was born July 4,
1917, at Miltonsburg, a son of the late Clemence and
Emma Butler Burkhart.
He was a retired Star Route Mail Carrier and a former
employee of the Wheeling News Register and The
Intelligencer. He was a member of Barnesville Elks Lodge
No. 1699 and Loyal Order of Moose No. 1304.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Burkhart.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Harper Burkhart; a son,
Robert of Barnesville; a daughter, mrs. Robert (Charlotte Kay)
Gray of Barnesville; two sisters, Mrs. Hubert (Bernice) Rowley
and Mrs. Clarence (Audrey) Bell, both of Barnesville; a brother
Kenneth of Canton; five grandchildren and a great grand-
daughter.
Friends received at the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home,
Barnesville, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday where services will
be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with Evangelist James Gallagher
officiating. Burial in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Society.


Jeannette Harper

Jeannette Burkhart, 64, 158 Ohio Street, Barnesville,
died September 11, 1985 at her home. She was born
June 18, 1921 at Quaker City, a daughter of the late
Oliver and Gail Burcher Harper.
She was a former employee of Barnesville News Agency
and a member of the East Main Street Church of Christ,
Barnesville, and Cedar Twig of Barnesville Hospital
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood in
1981; three sisters and a brother.
Surviving are a son, Robert Burkhart of Barnesville; a
daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kay) Gray of Barnesville; five
grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
Graveside services were held Friday at 11 a.m. in
Crestview Cemetery with James Gallagher officiating.
The Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home was in charge of
the arrangement. Memorial contributions may be made
to the American Cancer Society or Barnesville Hospital.

Obituary:

Kenneth G. Burkhart, of Canton, died Wednesday in Aultman Hospital after a long illness. Born in Belmont County, OH, he had been a Canton resident since 1956. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service, and was also retired from the Hoover Co. with 22 years of service. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, the Canton Elks Lodge, the Canton Moose Lodge and the North Canton Eagles. Survived by his wife, Bernadine (Mac) Burkhart; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Robert Palumbo of Plant City, FL; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Karren and Ray Stouffer of Canton; a stepson, Gary McCormick of Eustis, FL; three grandchildren, Karren and Kelli Palumbo, and Susan Petillo; a great-granddaughter, Savanna Petillo and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bernice and Hubert Rawley and Audrey Bell, all of Barnsville, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Klingler as celebrant. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday (tonight) 7-9 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148.
