WOODSFIELD -- Pfc. Carl Spangler, son of Mr. and Mrs.
T.J. Spangler of Lewisville Route 3 is now stationed in France.
His brother, Cpl. John Spangler, is in Belgium. Both boys
were recently in Germany.
Lawrence Spangler never married.

LEWISVILLE - Roman P. Spangler, 86, of 31476 Devoe Ridge Road died
at 3:40 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 20, 2002) at St. Joseph Hospice Center in Louisville,
Ohio. He was born Dec. 28, 1915, near Lewisville, Ohio (Burkhart), to Theodore
and Philomena Kuhn Spangler. He was a retired farmer and a member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church near Lewisville.
He is survived by two brothers, Herman Spangler of Canton and John Spangler
of Sandusky; one niece, Sister Mary Ann Spangler; and four nephews, Paul Spangler,
Robert Spangler, Joseph Spangler and Christopher Spangler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Carl Spangler and
Lawrence Spangler.
Masss of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph
Catholic Church near Lewisville with Father David Gaydosik as celebrant. Burial is
in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lewisville. Friends will be received from 6 to 9
p.m. Tuesday at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield. Vigil services are at 8 p.m.

Margaret F. Hissong, age 100, of Lake Cable, died Saturday. She was bornJune 1, 1900 in Canton, the daughter of the late Frank C. and Laura M.(Boeshart) Farwick. Margaret was retired from the Stern and Mann Co. afterover 40 years of service. She was a life member of St. John's CatholicChurch, a member of the Lake Cable Woman's Club, Lake Cable Garden Club,Lake Cable Retirees, The Mercy Medical Center Senior Friends and the 50 PlusClub. Her husband, Kenneth V. Hissong, died in 1947. Survived by a son,Kenneth F. Hissong of St. Petersburg, FL, a sister and brother-in-law,Frances and Arthur Engelberg of Canton; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hissong ofCasselberry, FL; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, VioletWillaman of Lake Cable. Requiem services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St.John's Catholic Church with Fr. Mark A. Rowe of Tampa, FL as celebrant.Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
