George W. Archer

George W., archer's obituary appeared in The Times Recorder (Zanesville, OH) newspaper on March 11, 1971
FORMER NOBLE CO. MAN DIES
CALDWELL - George W. Archer, 57, of 3201 Tenth street,
N. W. Canton, Noble County native, was dead on arrival at 2:15
a. m. Wednesday at Timken Mercy Hospital in Canton. He had
been ill for some time with a heart ailment.
Mr. Archer was born July 24, 1913, in Summerfield, a son of
Lewis and Emma Warner Archer. He was a graduate of Sarahs-
ville High School and went to Canton in 1933. In 1943 he joined
the Canton Fire Department, retiring in 1959 because of ill health.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Fire
Fighter's Association, both in canton.
Surviving are his widow, Madeline Davis Archer; two daughters,
Mrs. Jack (Carol) Monter of North Canton, and Mrs. Richard
(Donna) Lindower of Canton; a son, Donald G. Archer of Canton;
three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Geneva) Schott of Caldwell, Mrs. Roy
(Helen) Bradison of Sarahsville and Mrs. Donald (Mabel) Oliver of
Cambridge; two brothers, James Everett Archer of Sarahsville and
Harold Archer of Caldwell; seven grand children.
The body was taken to the Reed Funeral Home in Canton where
friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. today.
Services will be held at 11 a. m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Dunset Hill burial Park in Canton.


Madeline M. Davis

Obituary:

Madeline M. Archer, age 90, of Canton, died unexpectedly Tuesday in her home. Born in Derwent, OH, she had been a Canton resident most of her life. She was retired from Mercy Medical Center after 23 years of service. Madeline was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, The Canton Police and Fireman's Association and the A.A.R.P. Preceded in death by her husband, George W. Archer, who died in 1971; her parents, Howard and Mary Jane (Sanderson) Davis; and two brothers, Howard and Willard Davis. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jack Monter, and Donna and Ed Danford all of N. Canton; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Eileen Archer, of Canton; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Monter, Sherri (John) Doerschuk, Kevin (Kris) Monter, Richard A. (Diane) Lindower, Ronald Lindower, Donald (Tiffany) Archer, Denise (Shane) Locke, and Debra (John) Compton; four step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren; a brother and six sisters-in-law, Edward and Mildred Davis of Lake Wales, FL, Evelyn Davis of Canton, Geneva Schott, and Betty and Dolores Archer, all of Caldwell, OH and Helen Bradison of California. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Beneleit as celebrant. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.


Edna M. Archer

Edna was not listed with the family in the 1910 census.

Her mother's obituary (1953) refers to Edna's married name as Storch. The obituary of her brother Lewis (1966) gives Edna's married name as Stewart. It is not known if Edna had two different husbands, or, if not, which surname is correct. Enda lived in Akron at the time of both obituaries.

Charles Hubert Burkhart

Charles Burkhart's obituary appeared on page 4 B of the Zanesville Times Recorder on 14 Sep 1967

Charles Burkhart, 44, of Columbus, fomerly of Malaga, died Tuesday (Sept 12) in
a Columbus hospital after a short illness. He was born in Temperanceville, a son of
Anthony and Rose Burkhart. Mr. Burkhart was in the real estate business and was
a member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his widow, Marjory; a daughter, Jeannie, a son, Charles Jr., all of
the home, two brothers, Herman Burkhart of Malaga and Fred Burkhart of Cleveland;
three sisters, Mrs. Clara Miller of Barnesville, Mrs. Marie Miller of Malaga, and Mrs.
Margaret Nau of Lewisville.
Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John Quint and Sons Funeral Home,
1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Services will be held at 10 p.m. Friday at St.
Catherine's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Frederick L. Burkhart

Fred Burkhart lived in Cleveland in 1967. He was a resident of Wickliffe, Lake Co., Ohio at the time of his death.

Frederick L. Burkhart, 75, Wickliffe, died Friday, March 10, 2000. He was
born September 9, 1924 in Temperanceville. He was a retired employee of
T.R.W. Valve Division of Cleveland, a member of T.R.W. "Old Guard", an
employee of Gales Garden Center in Willoughby Hills following his retirement
and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
In addition to his parents, he ws preceded in death by a brother, Charles
Burkhart, and a sister, Clara Miller.
Surviving are his wife, LucyI. Scipione Burkhart; three sons, Ronald A. of
Mentor, Fred A. of Concord Twp., Marty J. of Willoughby Hills; two dughters,
Mrs. James (Sandra) Aker of Mentor and Mrs. Frank (Bonnie L.) Dea of Men-
tor; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Herman Burkhart; two sisters,
Margaret Nau and Marie Miller.
Friends will be received Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Orlando-Donsante
Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Avenue, Wickliffe. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 19850 Euclid Ave.,
Wickliffe. Entombment follows in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.

Harry Leonard Singer

In 1920, 17 year old Harry Singer lived with his parents in Petersburg, Pike County, Indiana. He was employed as a blacksmith at an oil field.

Ten years later, Harry (28) and his wife Agnes (25) owned a house worth $2100 at 613 County Road in Pinckneyville, Perry County Illinois. Their house was right next to Harry's parents' home.

Harry was employed as a Master Mechanic at Truax-Traer Mine. He resided 714 Wilson St., Pinckneyville, IL.


Agnes Willman

Agnes and her parents were born in Indiana. Date of death (from Illinois Statewide Death Index) has not been proven.
