Betty Eileen Crock graduated from Lewisville High School in 1953. She was a resident of Belmont County, Ohio at the time of her death.


Charles B. Forshey

Obituary from the Zanesville Signal, 19 Sep 1952:
RITES SATURDAY FOR C.B. FORSHEY
CALDWELL - Funeral services for Charles B. Forshey, 80, well known educator in Noble and Monroe counties will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Mt. Tabor Methodist church with Rev. Floyd Gaugler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body has been removed from the McVay funeral home in Caldwell to the home of a son, Clyde Forshey at Berne.
Mr. Forshey died Wednesday night at his son’s home following a lingering illness.
Mr. Forshey was a son of Elijah and Cynthia Gray Forshey and spent the greater part of his life in Noble and Monroe counties. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Methodist church and the F & AM lodge in Summerfield. He taught school for 36 years in Noble and Monroe counties. His wife, Jane Blair Forshey, died in December 1951.
The following sons and daughters survive: Joseph Forshey, Caldwell Route 1, Chrisswell Forshey of Akron, Marcus Forshey of Paris, O., Clyde Forshey at whose home he died. Mrs. Ada Robinson, Akron; Mrs. Bernice Crum of Berne; Mrs. Lala Massengale of Medina; and the following sisters, Mrs. Ada Orr of Cambridge, Mrs. Effie Johnson of Lebanon; Mrs. Artie King of Junction City and a half brother, Artie King of Junction City. There are 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

In 1930, 27 year old farmer Clarence Crock lived with his wife Ellen (24) on a rented farm in Rome Twp., Jones Co., Iowa. They had been married for 5 years. Clarence was born in Iowa and Ellen in Pennsylvania. They did not own a radio.

Wedding announcement from the Iowa City Press Citizen, pg 7, 15 Jan 1925:
Miss Ellen E. Titman, daughter of Mr. C. C. Titman
of Tipton, became the bride of Mr. Clarence E. Crock, son of
Mr. Will Crock, northwest of Tipton, at a pretty ceremony last
Wednesday morning at St. Wenceslaus church, Rev. A. L.
Panoch officiating. Nuptial music was furnished by Miss
Margaret and Miss Bridget Sheeley. The attendants were
Miss Louise and Mr. Louis Crock, sister and brother of the
bridegroom. The bride wore a gown of white crepe, a veil
and bouquet of Columbus roses completing her costume.
Miss Crock wore blue crepe and carried pink carnations.
After the ceremony a three course breakfast was
served in the home of Mrs. J. F. Kelly, 912 East Fairchild
street, covers being arranged for fourteen guests. Other
courtesies given for the young people included a two o’clock
dinner at the Crock home and a six o’clock supper at the
Titman home.
Out of town guests at the wedding were Miss
Margaret Devany of Rock Island, Mr. J. Murray of Montreal,
Can., Miss Edna Hawley of Sioux Falls, S. D., Miss Hulda
Ahrens of Eshterville.
Mr. and Mrs. Crock will be at home at Iowa City
where Mr. Crock is employed.
