Ronald J. Hoffman

Obituary:

Ronald J. Hoffman, age 64, of Louisville, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday November 21, 1999 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Ron was born April 22, 1935 in Louisville and was the son of the late Carl and Mozetta (Duplain) Hoffman Sr. He was an army veteran and a twenty-year member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Ron was retired from the Berger Division of Republic Steel and was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Ron leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Barbara (Halter) of the home whom he wed February 20, 1960; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Stephen Shockling of Louisville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Shauna Hoffman of Louisville, Donald and MaryAnn Hoffman of Alliance, Ronald and Becky Hoffman Jr. of Alliance and David and Renae Hoffman of Alliance; seven brothers and six sisters-in-law, Arthur and Rena Hoffman of Louisville, Jay and Ann Hoffman of Jacksonville, FL, Gene and Rose Hoffman of Louisville, Robert Hoffman of Louisville, John Hoffman of Louisville, Gary Hoffman of Louisville, Patrick and Linda Hoffman of Louisville, Anges Hoffman of Louisville and Helmi Hoffman of Sebring, FL; seven granddaughters; one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Hoffman Jr. and Kenneth Hoffman. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Ken Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
