Obituary:
Goldie J. Huffman, age 93, of Canton, passed away Friday morning, September 1, 2000, in the residence following an extended illness. Born in Washington Court House, OH, July 2, 1907, to her parents, the late Frederick and Anna Miller, she lived most of her life in the Canton area. Mrs. Huffman was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Huffman, March 14, 1988; her daughter, Rosemary Rogers; her grandson, Mark Rogers; son-in-law, Stanley D. Hall; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Jo Hall of North Canton, OH, Pamela Huffman of the home; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 1 p.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Huffman as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the Reed Funeral Home Tuesday 12 noon until the funeral procession leaves for the church.

Anna M. Miller, 96, of New Matamoras, died
Wednesday in Marietta. She was born January
17, 1894, in Shay, a daughter of the late John
and Luzette Burkhart Nau. She was a retired
postmaster of the former Grandview Post Office
and a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
George; a daughter, Alberta Rader; two sisters,
Martha Miller and Elizabeth Graham. Surviving
are two sons, Dean of New Matamoras and William
of Kensington; two daughters,Mrs. Joseph (Shelda)
Stehle of Lakeland, FL and Mrs. James (Patricia)
Smittle of Sardis; a sister, Marie Henning of New
Matamoras; sevengrandchildren; 12 great grand-
children.
Friends will be received today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. at Hadley FuneralHome, New Matamoras,
where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday
with the Rev. James Dunfee officiating. Burial
follows in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, New Mata-
moras.
